SHELTER: The Urban Carrot

SHELTER:
The Urban Carrot, is an architect’s visualization of the relevance of urban migrants that had, over the years, been overlooked or ignored, in Urban Development and Economic Policies and Programmes.

In a simple format, it presents migrants as victims of official negligence in Urban Development and Economic Policies and Programmes. It x-rays and demonstrates their determination to actualize their dreams, through self-help and co-operatives, independent of the Government. It sets the pace for the integration of migrants in future Urban Development and Economic Policies and Programmes in Nigeria, but adaptable to other societies with similar challenges.
